THE START
The legend of "Nent" began as many great stories do in Hollywood, CA. We both worked at the same production company making TV shows on topics covering ancient aliens, lost treasures, and William Shatner...most of which can now be streamed on Hulu. We could never have predicted that Captain Kirk and the Greys would play such a big role in our love story—yet, here we are. From the early days of Trent scampering around in Bigfoot and various monster suits to hanging out at local bars and concerts, we managed to keep it professional… at least for a while.Our first date was a roller skating adventure in Hermosa Beach, despite the fact that Trent had "limited" roller skating skills. He spent most of the time trying to avoid the "big tree fall hard" prophecy—but somehow, between a few flailing arms, it was still one of the best dates ever. We laughed so much that we were already planning our next adventure before the skates even came off.Our first big trip together took us to Hawaii, where we explored volcanoes, snorkeled in crystal-clear waters - which included Nat being swept off Two Step Rock to the loving arms of the sea - and, of course, enjoyed more than a few Mai Tais. It was the perfect balance of adventures, laughs, attempts at overly extravagant dance moves and relaxation, and we soaked in every second.
The Middle
Since then, we've traveled to some incredible places. We celebrated Natalie’s (and Brad's and Laura's) 30th birthday in Cabo with tacos, margaritas, and a Macarena dance-off. We ventured to England, where we drank in cozy pubs, explored the countryside, and wandered the streets of London. In France, we sipped champagne along the river, then made our way to Provence for even more wine. And, of course, we topped it all off with steins and bratwurst at Oktoberfest in Germany.Our relationship eventually moved base camp from Los Angeles down to Orange County where beach fun, breweries, a certain dog named Toby, and many friends joined in on the fun.
The Proposal
After coast to coast trips from North Carolina and back, following many guitar jams - and a few karaoke nights later - Trent devised a master plan to pop the question. It was on the Newport Beach Back Bay where a stealthy Trent (with assistance from Kat and Hana) managed to locate Nat on the winding trails to propose with a token of his love.As for the proposal—well, Trent pulled off the ultimate surprise. What started out as a hike with friends changed when, out of nowhere, Nat spotted Trent sprinting towards her like a man on a mission. And what was his mission? To pop the question, of course. It took her a few seconds to process, but when she did, Natalie couldn’t have been more thrilled.
From colleagues to roller skating “pros” to brewery seekers to soon-to-be-spouses, we’ve had quite the ride—and we wouldn’t change a thing.We can't wait to celebrate with our best friends and loving families in Palm Springs in October 2025! Stretch a bit, drink some water, and bring your dancing shoes to party in the desert!
